I definitely think that's what happened when Murray won over Tua. Seems like the preseason Heisman favorite rarely wins it. Tua got absolutely robbed that year.

The further we get from that its even more obvious how awful that was. Its why idiots like Brando should never get a Heisman vote. The voting system is totally flawed.
Tua was punished because we had to play a deathmatch with UGA in a de-facto playoff game the weekend before the voting. While Murray was able to play against another Big 12 defense.
If Mac keeps this up the rest of the year and puts up similar numbers against UGA again in December, he will deserve it over Lawrence....who gets the benefit of playing in a shite league.

Heisman is the guy who had the best last 2 weeks of the season. As much as they want to say it is a complete season award, it’s not.
