Following the third practice of Arkansas week, Saban was asked about two players that left the Vanderbilt game with injuries in defensive lineman Byron Young and safety Jordan Battle.

“Both guys practiced some today,” Saban said after Wednesday’s practice. “Hopefully, they’ll both be ready for the game, but it’s day to day. When you have these kinds of injuries, it’s always (about) how they feel the next day, so we’ll see how it goes tomorrow.”

“He’s practiced this week,” Saban said of Earle. “But again, everything is day to day with these guys that are coming off injuries. It’s not always about just what they were able to do today, but how does it affect tomorrow. So we’ll see how he is on a day-to-day basis and have to make a decision about that tomorrow.”
