The kid grew up in a UGA household, with a father and brother that played for the University. His final 5 has some good programs on it, no doubt.

That being said, the only other list that exists which includes Spokane, Washington and not Athens, GA is the list of top 5 rural cities located near a university. Which explains Auburn and UM. UNC and Duke just happen to be blue bloods located in rural NC

Clearly he doesn't feel like he has what it takes to make the NBA without playing for a top program. There's nothing wrong with that. Some players needed others around them to make themselves better.

We want players that despite how terrible our program is want to contribute anyway, like Edwards. UGA basketball will not propel you to the NBA on its own. You also need to have skill. That's the difference between Duke/UNC basketball.
