Sure, if the QB has the ball. Murray had already let go and fairly was even pointed in another direction before changing course and spearing him well after he'd thrown the ball. That has never at any point been acceptable.

1. Call the penalty then.

2. Don’t let the OL off the snide. Fairley roughed him up and down the field. OL could’ve treated him like Shy Tuttle.

You should write for disney...

I love how its turned into "spearing" now as well. Do we need to update the rule books again??
