Seems like most recent picks have been to LSU

Seems like even the article notes "most of the buzz" has been around Kentucky and Oregon. I guess I'm just looking at what I have seen and read as a whole this last week. Nothing really special from my reasoning.

We've been recruiting him for a long time and before the suspension thing he was almost a lock per some folks.

Yep, the suspension set back LSU. Maybe they made all that ground back?

He's an immediate starter here with literally no competition at center.

I don't disagree that it makes more sense on paper, just have seen too many players pick less than ideal fits before.

FWIW, I think we made up some ground when Blackshear chose Florida. There had been a lot of talk of him coming in with the 2020 class but that's when I started to see a lot more of the 2019 talk. Kentucky had him in for a visit just couple days after Blackshear announced.

That's not to say he doesn't go to LSU. As others have said, I've seen most talk between LSU, Kentucky, and Oregon. Just shedding light on what probably changed for UK. I also think while EJ makes a big jump this season, he could probably get PT over Richards.
