Some of the most impressive moments come from the usually-calm coaches.
Few years back LSU was playing Ole Miss and things got a little chippy. At one point there was a clear cheap shot that left an LSU player down, and no call. Les Miles came raging out onto the field after the ref, and he was damn animated. And that was one of the few times I actually thought "oh shite, goofy-arse Les used to be an O lineman, he looks a little scary right now".
Les was crazy-eyed and spit flying, and waving his arms (almost the golf clap, but a lot more forcefully and not quite clapping his hands together), and probably had 40 lbs on the ref. And you could see the "oh frick" look on the ref's face , cuz Les don't do that.
