Exactly. He assumed he would be a starter following his suspension until he found out others had passed him on the depth chart and Saban couldn't promise him playing time. So he transferred.

Did Cristobal coach him? We could give him a schollie and take away the one walk-on schollie. If he looks like that at 260, he could make some hay in the PAC.

But who passed him and when? He was the most productive TE in the spring from what I’ve read.
He seems to be the ideal replacement for an explosive TE like OJ or Irv.
