lol. Don't be like the AU fans that try to pass off the SECCG by saying kerryon was hurt. Tua was clearly fine enough to be playing in that game, and his own lineman injured him to put him out of the game. Bama fans just aren't used to seeing tua get disprected like we did and like clemson would do a few games later.

I'm surprised you of all people would try to skew stats in one direction because of bias.

Oh it's not an excuse - and it wasn't all his leg, but his accuracy was clearly worse in that game - and the aftermath showed he was fricked up during the game.

Compare the zip and accuracy in that game to every other game he has played in his career. It's not even close. I've never seen him miss that many easy throws 7 feet over a guy and 3 feet in front in the turf.

And again, compare the UGA game to the Clemson game. Like, not even close. He was MUCH better against Clemson than he was against UGA. Did he make some mistakes? Yes. But he wasn't ineffective. He was ineffective against UGA.

I mean compare the stats

10/25 (40%)
164 yards (6.6 YPA)
1 TD/2 INT

22/34 (65%)
295 yards (8.7 YPA)
2 TD/2 INT

One is not at all like the other.

And again - if we had lost, the idea that the "QB being hurt" would be an excuse would be laughable nonsense. That's football. It wouldn't be at all. There would be no "well if Tua was 100%" from me, I guarantee that.

But if we are looking at performance and then using it to look forward and predict future performance, I think it is an oddity. He made bad decisions that were harbinger's for the future, but a lot of the missed throws were just..........they were the only times I've ever seen him miss throws like that. So it is what it is.

so we aren't able to give the defense a shred of credit? It coudln't be that our defense happened to make good plays? No of course not, the infallible bama player just couldn't conceivably be perfect that day?

his "career" is essentially just the preceeding 12 games of the 2018 season, where perhaps only 1 of those teams were as good as UGA.

Idk man. Bama moved the ball with ease, like at will, against clemson between the 20s for most of the night. But he made some HORRENDOUS throws that game. Awful decisions, poor interceptions, etc. It kinda seems like against 2 of the 3 best teams bama played last year (uga and clemson, with OU being the other but obviously the big12 doesn't play defense) tua actually looked pedestrian and you're trying to explain it away.

i mean, yall won the game. So it's not like there's really a need to come up with excuses and I know that's not your MO to being with. But I watched the same game you did and I saw tua being pressured and affected more than he likely had in his career at that point and saw our DBs making some great plays. It's ok to admit that your guys aren't perfect at all times.
