No, I think aggy sublicensed the rights to the trademark because they were hard up for cash.

Interesting. Either way, how lame is this? Every kid dreams of being a replacement player. Only Aggie thought it was a viable idea. So much so they incorporated grown adults pretending to be on the team as one of their staple traditions.
