I know when someone takes probation over going to trial I don't think "He obviously knows he's innocent". That doesn't make any sense. It doesn't necessarily mean anything but it would more point the other way. There is no added risk here if he's guilty. Because guilty already means not coaching at all/losing his contract. On the other hand if you know you're innocent you are more likely to fight it entirely and make no deals.
