They don't believe it, they just see we are scared to lose Jimbo and they are wanting to twist the knife.
Problem is they have gotten so used to justifying being cheap with head coaches (remember how they used to go on and on about Les being overpaid when Sumlin made more?) that they can't even put together a convincing lie that they will steal Jimbo by paying him more so they have to come up with the paycut bullshite.
They need to get over their mental roadblock of having to have a coach that is "worth" their pay or Woodward will have his best tool throughout his career (the money whip) taken from his toolbox.

They tried for 2 years to hire Fisher and he wanted no part of it. Just like Saban when he came back from the NFL.
Check that. Saban does like going back to Baton Rouge every other year to kick their arse.
