That's what happens when you let the great Head Baseball Coach become the Athletic Director.
Skip Bertman became the LSU AD and let Saban walk away to the Dolphins without putting up any resistance or a fight to keep him. Bertman got cheap and didn't value what he had there. He snoozed and LSU loozed. (Still haven't fully recovered in football)
