Only 2 teams really concern me at this point in CFB, and it's been this way the last 2-3 years and will be for the foreseeable future. Georgia and Clemson. Georgia is recruiting at our level and we have beaten them by the skin of our teeth the last two years. They aren't going anywhere. We are 2-2 against Clemson and Dabo has built a machine up there. I honestly hope our staff is working double-time even now on prepping for those two teams. I honestly think it's a 2 game season this year and most years. Find a way to beat those teams, and you're the champ.

I gotta tell ya, while I'm not "worried" as I think a fan should never be really "worried" by definition, I think both LSU and TexAM are much closer to being able to beat Bama than many realize. As a matter of fact, I'm considering doing a breakdown of both, similar to what I did in the OP.

Honestly, I think LSU and TexAM are both likely top 10 teams, with both having a shot at the playoffs with a nice year and getting a few beneficial bounces of the ball.

It’s crazy. Oklahoma and Ohio State were arguably the 3rd-5th best teams in the country last year and they didn’t play a lick of defense. Then you watch our recent games against Washington and MSU and Clemson vs. Notre Dame and it looks like those teams would never score enough to win
