I must be the only 1 not impressed with Lawrence last year. He threw up a lot of 50/50 balls that his recievers went up and got and against us all of the big plays were bust/Saivion Smith.

You can downplay his talent all you want, but the guy is legitimately the best qb in cfb. If he were draft eligible this year, you'd see teams offering the Cardinals unbelievable shite to get him at #1 this Thursday.

Might want to pump the brakes there a bit chief.

And no, I'm not advocating Tua is better than him.

No. TL is overrated a bit. Great talent but I still believe Tua is a better QB. You can call me a homer all you want but that's not why I think this. TL rarely went through his progressions vs Bama. His first read was 5 yards wide open on every 3rd down and then he'd just launch it up. Meh.

TL is a great talent and he played great against us but the media and some of our fans have hopped on his lap and will not get off until he loses a game. What Watson did was more impressive against us in both games than TL was. The QB is not the only factor. He's not the lone reason we got curb stomped.

Tua is one of the most accurate passers I've ever seen. It's other worldly. He made 2 bad reads pre snap against Clemson but he also made some incredible throws in that game. He was throwing darts. There were a couple missed interference calls on Clemson that really affected the game...those passes were right on the money.

The only thing TL can do better than Tua is stand up and be taller. Our red zone play calling and execution lost that game as well as the LOS. Also Saivion killed us obviously.

With that said Tua definitely could have played better. shite happens. Even the best QBs have bad days. Aaron Rodgers has been outplayed before in a game...it doesn't make the other guy better. TL was not throwing the darts that Tua was.
