I think it's time to see if other venues can support it. And if it doesn't work, you come back to Hoover. I think the change in scenery would be good for the tourney itself.
I understand if it's not broke, then leave it as is and with the proximity to most schools it's why Hoover works. That Birmingham stadium is nice but is there enough amenities around it - hotels, dining,etc.
I know the coaches like the layout Hoover provides with everything convenient.
I think they need to shorten the SEC tourney, by the time you make it to the weekend, everyone is out of pitching and not many schools are going to burn up pitching when the regionals start the next weekend.
