The reason this will not move is the ease of parking at The Met and the campground as well.

I read somewhere in the last year or so they are expanding Hoover Met to add more baseball fields and build a convention center type place. Not sure if that is still in the works though.

I think the main reason is just comfort. It's been there since the late 90s and they haven't had any problem with it there, so they won't consider somewhere may be better or equally as good. But for a sport like baseball, I think they should spread it around so more people in SEC territory can attend.
