Better team did not win and how UVA keeps getting by in unreal.

Sorry but it was a foul and give the guy props for making the free throws.

Not sure what you want us to say. It was a foul and they made the shots. We didn’t play our game until the last five minutes of the 2nd. We were lucky to even be in a position to compete at the end.

That’s the madness of the tournament. It happens every year in some crazy way. Sucks being on the wrong end but we had a great run that will be remembered forever in Auburn basketball lore.

That line should be installed on giant signs inside every LSU sports arena.

I dont disagree at all. I think it was a foul.

I also think multiple plays while AU guards were driving to the hole throughout the game were fouls by UVA, but they weren't called.

Samir Doughty was Auburn's leading scorer (off the bench) and second leading rebounder for the game.

If the rest of the team had given his (or even 5%) effort, that final foul wouldn't have meant a damn thing.

The defender raised his hands and momentum caused a bump. They had let much worse contact go all game. They call it and give the team heaving a desperation shot the advantage. Should have been a no call.

Yeah baw, it was a foul but it shouldn't have been. Normally, when a player double dribbles, the refs blow the whistle and give the ball to the other team.

Had Auburn been given the ball when the VA kid double dribbled, VA would not have had the ball to get fouled. Had the refs done the job they were paid to do, there is no foul and AU is in the championship.

Totally irrelevant. It was a foul. He hit the shooter before he released the shot. It sucks for Auburn, but that gets called every single time in that situation.

Says every Upward Basketball Ref when describing double dribble before games to 5 year olds.

This is the only part that hurts. I don’t care about the double dribble. I care that Virginia got to the point of needing a last second heave and we got called for a foul that didn’t actually affect the shot. The ball had released from his hands before the bump.

I don’t want androids or constant camera replays to infiltrate sports, but it seems like it’s a constant complaint from spectators that the games are unfairly handled by the refs. I thought tonight’s game was fair and shite towards both sides but Auburn had the last crap call of the night.

I mean, how often do games feature two teams with 4 fouls each at the last minute of regulation? The refs weren’t calling shite all 2nd half but thought a meaningless bump on the last second attempt was worth calling.

I agree. Be honest, does anyone think this gets called against Duke? Or N.C.?
