LSU plays pretty much every in state school every year. We lose a couple of them every year also. Still get a national seed just about every year.
They don't matter. No one is going to give one flying shite at the end of the year that you lost to Little Rock on a Tuesday. Just like no one is going to give a shite that LSU lost to McNeese.

State plays them every year as well, to the detriment of their RPI. The cost savings and the goodwill created makes it worthwhile
