It happened in Kansas too.
Granted, the state has long underfunded the universities but Bobby took it to a new low.
In 2004, LSU was paying Saban more than any other college football coach in America.

Miles had a similar contract in place that once guaranteed he'd make $1000 more than any coach in the SEC if he won a natty.

Things didn't work out with Jimbo due to politics. But LSU and Louisiana are no more poor than they were in 2004 or 2008, when they paid top dollar to Saban and Miles.
LSU will likely throw the bank at O's replacement, when that day comes. And if they don't, I'm sure you and every other troll will start 80 billion threads on the topic.
