ok - i'll ask...why hasn't Duvall got pulled back up?? He plays good-to-great defense and killing it this year...love our team, but we have a struggling LF, a RF with 9 HR and lacks Def range, and we brought back up a hittless CF...what gives???

I’m no expert here, but my guess is they want to show that Ender is healthy for potential trade value, plus Riley needed the day off.

The OF and bench are full. Personally, I think he might be being kept as trade bait.

Acuna is back in left, so that fixes the offensive slump from that position.

Kakes' has been a bit of a mystery to me this year, but it looks like range is not so much of an issue with him as opposed to his positioning. (That's based off of some of the more advanced defensive Sabermetric stats which a lot of the people much smarter than me say are "off" this year.) My biggest concern with Markakis's defense has been his inability to hold runners from going from 1st to 3rd.

Ender's defense is still pretty damn good. Having Ender in CF and Acuna back in left should allow Kakes to position better in RF (possibly helping with the 1st to 3rd issue???) I have no justification for his bat though. At the end of the day if he doesn't start hitting the ball the Braves have plenty of OF options.
