Soroka has to prove he isn’t injury prone. Can’t count on him yet. Folty should be fine.

Newcomb was amazing in the first half of last year. Since then he has been an absolute mess. If things don’t change relatively quickly he may find himself back in Gwinnett.

The good news is we have three or four guys ready to step on due to injury or non-performance. No one else has that luxury in our division.

And for all the shite we heave upon Teheran, some deserved, he is the one guy you can count on year agter year to be available and eat innings. Every year 200-220 innings. I don’t think anyone else had more than 180 last year.

That said. I wish we would have traded him at peak value a couple years ago.

ETA in his current state he is fine as a 5. He is a good piece for the regular season to chew innings.

Newk will be traded, or should be if he goes to shite again. He's had the red carpet rolled out for him since he got here. 2019 is his year to prove to everyone that he's a guy worth holding onto for the long haul--- after all we did essentially give away Andrelton Simmons for him, plus we have younger guys down there that need to be weeded through.
