I really enjoy coming to a thread knowing I'll get to read several 10 paragraph post from straws about how trask out performs Frank's every day of every week of every month of every year and yet Frank's is still the starter

Kind of tells me that the coaches know alot more than straws does.

Straws just one question have you been too one practice through this whole trask / Franks rivalry / starter discussion or just look at stats

Most of those stats are throwing on air. He may reply now to this...but he wont answer your question whether he has been to ANY practices.

It all started back in spring of last year the our QB guru proclaimed that Trask would be named the starter for 2018. As spring ended and it started becoming obvious that Franks a leader in the locker room and fall camp sealed it. Our gurus feelings were hurt and he pouted and started lashing out at Franks at every opportunity. Rather child like.

He had to begrudgingly give Franks some cred after season end....but just remember he is the same person who called Franks a retarded puppy. Nice, huh? Again, Straw...answer the question regarding attending practices ??

One question: Does everyone here really think that how someone practices is more indicative than how someone performs?

There are players who perform better but don't practice well, there are also players who practice lights out but fail when the pressure is on them.

Every single time when there was a head to head challenge, Trask has outperformed Franks.

Whew lad, wish you were around when reel was saying the exact same thing as you were but about McElwain. So was I.

Of course Mullen has forgotten more than I will ever know, but to think that he doesn't have an ego is silly. Talk to Mississippi State fans who knew that Prescott was better than Tyler Russell but it took a Concussion and on-field results for him to yank the guy.

If Spurrier was here, there's no way Franks survives Kentucky, and even less Colorado State. Mullen picks a guy and goes with him, but that's a lot more to do with philosophy rather than whether a guy is better than someone else.

Trask beats Franks in almost every single head-to-head competition, including the Missouri game.

Opening Scrimmage 2018: Trask by a mile.
Spring Game 2018: Trask by a mile, especially when you look at where the completions were made.
Mid-camp Scrimmage 2018: Closed* scrimmage, staff says Franks won.
Fall Scrimmage: Trask beat Franks.
Missouri 2018: Trask beat Franks in literally every passing category.
Opening Scrimmage 2019: Trask beat Franks, even if by a little.

Keep in mind, in the Mullen era, there has only been one time Trask has lost to Franks and that was a closed scrimmage (lol, convenient).

This is what I posted before, so pay attention:

Mullen and I want different things from the QB position. I like mature guys, and while Trask doesn't run as well, I think his mentality is far less toxic than Franks'. It's nice that Franks can run, but he isn't such a great runner that it makes up for his absolutely horrendous qualities as a passer.

I would much rather just use Trask as a bandaid this year, especially with an inexperienced OL, because I know he can throw accurately and hit wide open guys. His one touchdown pass in the Mizzou game he was literally getting blitzed, didn't set his feet and threw it directly into the hands of his receiver.

Both of his touchdown passes at scrimmage were in the Red Zone.

My qualm is a difference in philosophy, not an indictment on Mullen as a coach.
