Not exactly sure what O/D efficiency they are using, but here are a few when i searched

Just based on the tweet I showed first, maybe that’s the reason for the gap?

thanks for the links.

I'm not headed down the rabbit hole too far, but at first glance USC has scored 2166 pts in 30 qualified games vs 2227 for Baylor in 31 games. 61 points in favor of Baylor somehow helps equate to a 97 to 255 advantage in OFF EFF for the bears.

there's more to it than points scored for OFF EFF, of course. it's just hard to believe that getting a lot of shots up at the basket can be a bad thing when it comes to being selected for the NCAAT.

the overall NET ranking and its 'transparent' (sarcasm) way all 5 factors are weighted results in more questions than answers.

check this out https://extra.ncaa.org/solutions/rpi/Stats%20Library/NET%20Nitty%20Gritty%20-%20Games%20through%20March%2010,%202019.pdf

- I'm guessing the selection committee will see these 'nitty gritty' (seriously?) reports in their room. take a look at 78 Carolina compared to 51 Indiana.

I'd love Wofford as an 8 seed for a potential 2nd Rd game vs a 1.

Cougs just blew the SoCon Semi. they can't beat Northeastern at the Coliseum. they should move the tourney downtown at TD Arena. it ain't like N Chas is raking in fist fulls of cash hosting the tourney at the airport.
