It'll be weird playing them so late in the season this year... But that probably works out in our favor with a younger offense needing time to gel.

Schedule sets up not toooo bad, all things considered.

Open with Monday game neutral site game. Should mean a bit more time to work out kinks before first game. Virginia is replacing a *lot* from 2019 team. Would be a surprise to see us lose here and probably would be a bad sign for the year to come.

Short week before ETSU game. Should have a strong desire to get up early and play deeper into the roster to make sure everyone is firing on all cylinders before the big matchup.

Alabama on the road week 3... It will be what it will be. They're replacing a lot and Mac Jones has looked far from unflappable. Will need DBs operating at a high level this day. A loss here would be manageable, but certainly have a chance to take home the W still.

ULM - good game to come back home to after a big showdown. Hopefully leave Tuscaloosa healthy and with a W, but if not, good "get right" game.

Vandy - easing back into the SEC, another get right game if needed

Auburn - earlier in the schedule than ever, but at home... Will be interesting. Good chance they're 5-0 here, with only real tests of UNC in Atlanta, and maybe Ole Miss on the road?

Mizzou - on the road, but new staff, lot of personnel turnover, etc... At this point, team should be what it's going to be, so no excuses for a lull performance here.

Bye

Florida - never good to lose in Jax. will have a good bit more riding on it depending on the earlier season results. We are likely the last "big" game on their schedule... If they make it through the earlier schedule with no more than 1 loss, high likelihood that they throw everything and the kitchen sink at us to try and sneak out with a win.

We have a sneaky finish after this... no specific games that concern me a ton, but road games later in the year are always of interest (USC and UK), and then what supposedly is an improved Tennessee late in the year as well... again, their last "big" game on the schedule.

Definitely looks like we're likely to be the "super bowl" finish for a couple of teams on the schedule, so as I mentioned before, Monken and Newman likely write the story here. No matter how good our returning defense is, if those guys are duds, we could be a 9-3 (+/- 1) team. If they're everything they're touted to be, we're likely 11-1 with upside.

Going to Columbia in November will feel really weird.

I think still think 10-2 is worst case scenario. That would be losing 2 out of 3 against Bama, AU and UF.
