I have a paper coming up that I have to find a conspiracy theorist website and use it as an artifact to break down logical fallacies. I keep searching, but I do not know many theorists and when you search, they are technically not theorists since they are more so believers. Looking for help with this. TIA.

Hmm. I would suggest starting with someone like Alex Jones, who has admitted he's full of crap, and look at some of his guests. He's just peddling bullshite and making money (well until he gets sued) off of human misery but the theorists who come on his show should give you a rich selection of people to focus on.

Yeah I've looked on Infowars but needing like an argument. I saw stuff, but it seemed like more articles discussing him. I'll look again at him later.

To go specific... check out David Icke. He has his own website, LINK, and sees conspiracies everywhere.
He's the champion of the belief that reptillians have taken over the world among other claims.

Let me direct you to the Q thread on the PoliBoard. It is made up entirely of conspiracy theorists.

Do TACMAR, it’s my favorite conspiracy theory. If you want something current you could do Q or Pizzagate. AboveTopSecret is a good place to start.

Wait, so the goal is to find a conspiracy theorist with a specific theory and then point out the logical fallacies?
Ok, I got you.
Search “LiftingTheVeil” on YouTube, he’s a conspiracy theorist. Look for his interviews with a man called VeganMikey in which they talk about “DonutGate”. They’ve built up an entire theory that a donut shop in Oregon I think, Voodoo Donuts, is a front for Satanic Ritual Abuse and Pedophilia.
Might take you a couple hours to dig through it but it has all of the elements you need.

Thanks bro. I can take a picture of the assignment in a bit. It's just confusing to find what she wants. Writing isn't an issue, but finding something that will work.

Yea, please do post the picture. Would love to help you on this. It could be fun.

The problem with Q is that it’s just too large to unpack for a simple undergrad paper. There’s too much there. It’s the Bahai faith of conspiracy theories where they just take every other conspiracy and roll it up in to theirs and Q stamps the Cabal label on it. It’s a fricking mess.

Ha! Would be fun, but she's expecting more mainstream than TD forums

That wasn’t really a theory tho

True, or maybe too many theories in one big plop.

There are loads of conspiracy documents online, but you have to know how to look for them. A conspiracy theorist is unlikely to call their belief a "conspiracy theory" so looking with those terms may not work. You need to find something written and/or produced by someone who is a believer, and who is trying to make a persuasive case for their beliefs. That means staying away from websites that are ABOUT the conspiracy or trying to debunk it.

What interests you? You have two routes you can take, you can find something larger and older...9/11, Sandyhook, the Moon landings - or find something smaller and newer.
I get that she says to avoid debunkers and inspections of the theory itself because she wants you to think it out for yourself but that’s going to be very hard to do with any of the more established stuff.

Was looking for Sandy Hook but couldn't find a website from a theorist. Or what she expects lol.

RationalWiki List of Conspiracy Theories
You could peruse that. RW is quite partisan but much of their non-poliitcal stuff is reliable If you’re looking for factual barebones.
