Never saw enough episodes to really make a call on this show. Only ever saw like 2 episodes during forced time in the elementary school library
Have never seen Dallas, my parents never had me watch it like they did other shows

MASH in my opinion.
It survived many casting changes and was funny while covering serious material often.

These are the top-rated shows of the 1980-81 season, if anyone's curious.
Dallas was the best. We bought our first VCR about this time ($700) so we could go to Friday night high school football games and later watch The Dukes of Hazzard, Dallas and Falcon Crest.
We loved watching Magnum P.I. and Simon & Simon on Thursdays.
Until CBS got the Pac 10 about 1982, the only college football games CBS showed were the Sun Bowl from El Paso and the Cotton Bowl with my Longhorns (many times).
CBS was J.R. Ewing, Tom Landry's Dallas Cowboys and the Texas Longhorns with Lindsey Nelson. We were shittin' in high cotton and wiping on the top leaf here in Texas (so to speak).
Another great show from the 80s was Hill Street Blues.

You cannot have The Jeffersons and leave Archie and the Meathead off. Beverly Hillbillies gotta be in that bitch somewhere!

All in the Family and Sanford & Son belong on that list.
