It sounds like a lame excuse (and probably is, to be fair) but it's possible. There have been more than one issue of certain powders or mixes containing traces of banned substances and it popping on people when all they were doing was taking was something like a gainer. Not saying that's what I think it is, but it COULD happen accidentally.
