Gotcha.
Well the reason i say that is because for the Yankees they’ve had a number of different owners through their time.
A number of individuals in their glory times of the 20s-50s, then sold to CBS, then again to George Steinbrenner

ETA so i guess this is right too although under CBS ownership they were awful

This is why true dynasties matter. NY Yankees were able to survive a bad ruler but got back to winning after they were gone. China had some crappy years dispersed during major dynasties but got through them and kept the dynasties alive over the bigger window of history.


Steelers vs Patriots (both have 6 Super Bowl wins)

Steelers founded in the 30's
Patriots founded in the 60's

During their wins, Steelers went from Art, to Dan, to Art II, to other owners
During their wins, Kraft has been the owner

Steelers have 4 with Noll, 1 with Cowher, and 1 with Tomlin
Patriots have all with just Bellicheck

Steelers different QB's
Patriots have all with just Brady
