My goodness. This is just awful. Should be a 30 pt game right now. Auburn missed a ton of open 3s in the first half. Defense has been horrendous. Offense just as bad as always.

Kim Anderson left the program in worse shape than Larry Smith did. Cuonzo just masked that with the Porters and Robertson last year.

Our two best players aren’t on the court. And we weren’t going to be a great team even with them.

Just ugly as hell.

Oh well, yet another worthless hoops season.

Aug 31 can’t get here fast enough

I do think Pinson, Pickett, Tilmon and Watson will end up as good players here. They just need to develop and get a lot more help.

The only one that hasn’t been worthless in recent memory

I literally turned the game off as soon as I saw Suggs and Mitchell Smith on the court at the same time. I'll know we've improved when those two never see the court again. Until that time, Mizzou hopes is going to be ugly to watch.

I agree.
Tilmon is already decent.

Pickett has easily outperformed expectations. He’s kind of a Chievous-esque player. Rangy and quick enough to get to the hoop and score unconventionally. Chievous was more slippery but I’ll let the comparison stand.

I like Pinson a lot.

And I saw enough of Watson in high school to be glad to see him sign with Mizzou.

It’s bad when I’m silently wishing for a healthy CVL to take minutes from some of the players currently playing.

Hopefully Jackson and McKinney can eliminate those two from the rotation.

We’ll get better certainly but it just sucks to once again be the worst team in the SEC once again. It’s getting old

I'm not too high on Watson up to this point. Why do I have such a major problem with JesusQuintana being critical of this team and coach?

Ok so who do you guys play?

Geist
Pinson
Watson
Mark Smith
Tilmon
Pickett

Those are the only 6 guys who should see the court.

You can't play basketball with 6 guys.

Therefore you see Nikko, Mitchell Smith, Puryear, Santos, and Suggs.

Without Jontay and Mark Smith this team just doesn't have any scoring.

I’m not sure McKinney makes an impact as a freshman. They need to use the remaining scholarships to shore up the 3/4 spots. Not long enough, not athletic enough and not skilled enough there.

A healthy Mark Smith, Dru Smith, McKinney and Jackson will all contribute.

We’re probably still two years from being good. Maybe a grad transfer is another rabbit pulled from the hat next year. But absent that, it will be probably a middle of the pack SEC, bubble NCAA team.

Too funny that you say that. I was literally wondering during the LSU game if CVL could still play. Then I cried.

Honestly, CVL plays in the LSU game and I think we win.

Watson will be a fine 4 year player. He'll be a team leader by his senior year. The game just hasn't slowed down for him yet but you can see he's getting close.

Watson is going to be fine. I think sooner than his senior year. He’s not Anthony Peeler. But he’ll be a fine contributor.
