Southwind (Little Rock/Hattiesburg) bought it for $3.8 million in 2011 and renovation cost another $16 million in 2012


Just sold it for $31 million

My wife met one of the buyers who was from Hattiesburg back when they first purchased it. She was excited then because she heard he was from MS, and she thought we were getting a Graduate. That guy knew and was friends with the people who own the Graduate chain, though... and now he's up and sold it to them... and my wife is finally getting her Graduate on the square.

That is a really nice return on your investment.

As to the Arlington... I think it would be a good property to take on and rebuild.

Yes, it will need some work... but you can get it cheap because of that. Build it up, turn it around, and you have a prime real estate property you can sell.
