Why the frick would he run the option? Teams like ga tech and army run the option because they are woefully outmatched talent-wise and have to do something so try to negate it. OU is quite talented and has stud WRs out the arse, not to mention the last 2 heisman winners that won it by, ya know...throwing the ball.

OU going to the option makes less than zero sense.

Not saying 100% option, but a decent portion of the playbook. Oklahoma consistently loses in the big time cause of TOP, ineptitude on offense when facing a good pass defense and usually depending on one person (typically a heisman winner) to win the game by themselves.

All this Heisman winner high flying shite has got them nothing of relevance other than conference dominance over the past 10 years.

That is not true. Before GT ran the option Chan Gailey put that work on Clemson, Miami and Auburn with this guy(out-matched talent)

Yep...you can't play the system like Nebraska did back in the old days of partial-qualifiers...they would load up on big, stupid corn-fed linemen, and run the option down your throat.
