I don't know where you're from in SC, but if you ever want a good laugh, attend a Gamecock Club function down here in Horry County. It's the same brown-nosing rich boosters and BOT folks lobbing softballs at the coaches and AD, all the while slapping each other on the back over several liquor drinks. Makes me sick to my stomach. My dad, brother and I quit going long ago. They care about influence peddling, not winning.

I have no problem with your stance. Sure, watch the games on TV, give them all of the moral support but you don't have to shell out your hard earned money if you aren't happy...They get plenty of money!...I personally think empty stands are a much better attention-getter because the optics are horrible and the recruits see that.
