Also games pre cable drew many more casual viewers.
That's not always the case.
Explain how Ohio State can play a National Title Game in 2014 on Cable against Oregon, in a game that was decided by 22 points..... and draw a 18.6 rating.
Yet that same Ohio State team played a National Title Game on a Network against LSU in 2007, in a game that was decided by 14 points.... and it only drew a 14.4
*Same Ohio State
*More Traditional Opponent with larger fan base
*Closer Game
*On a Major Network
.... yet fewer viewers than when they played on Cable.
That doesn't jive if the entire driver of these ratings is Cable vs. Network.
