First off, good luck tomorrow night. Represent the SEC well

Jesus Christ. SEC Pride makes me laugh. Why would you root for a rival?

I see dumb thoughts like this pretty often these days... mostly from Barners, LSUers... but it alaways makes me wonder where the poster is from? My conclusion...you are a Yankee. That’s ok, we have lots of Yankees going to school at Alabama these days... but why do you feel the need to advertise it? It isn’t something to be proud of you know.

This is a continuity of feeling that comes from shared experience across the southeast. It goes back to a time before the War, and that conflict and the “reconstruction” cemented it. If you knew what was done to the country down here back then, and the sacrifice made by the people, and what the region went through right up to the latter part of 20th C, you might understand. But since you are a yankee....

This region still gets sneered at, insulted, dumped on by the Yankees and East-West coasties. So I take pride in an SEC that dominates...it is something we do best. Besides...having a conference with a dominate reputation helps every team in the conference by lifting the rankings of all.

Maybe you youngers do not have a sense of regional or conference pride. But I root for all SEC teams, even Auburn, even Tennessee (though that is hard to do).
