Common opponents: none

Opponents' opponents:
PSU 45 Appalachian St 38
. Appalachian St 45 Middle Tenn 13
UK 34 Middle Tenn 23
. PSU 7 Michigan 42
. Michigan 15 Florida 41
. UK 27 Florida 16

Especially after taking into account when and where games were played, I don't see this as having much predictive value; but I do not doubt that Kentucky at their best can beat Penn State. Second half of the season Kentucky will struggle (I don't think the Louisville game means much. Rivalry game vs a dumpster fire opponent). It's understandable that pundits and odds makers expect the latter Kentucky squad and history suggests that Stoops' teams haven't been particularly effective at using bye weeks and bowl practice to prepare for games. Based on this I understand picking against the Cats.

On the other hand, there is something different in this UK team. We know they have the defense to hang with almost anyone. I think the key is attitude. I see this team as really focused on getting this win.

We'll see
