That was a good post you linked. I'm sure Mike is better than I give him credit for, but at least Nutt had us in a bowl almost every year. Mike barely gets us in to postseason. That's what pisses me off the most.

I get it. What really frustrates me is that the Arkansas basketball program was once a national power and the potential to return is still there. Football will always be an uphill battle in the SEC given the size and demographics of the state, but the basketball program has proven to be second only to Kentucky in the conference.

I like Mike, but I just don't believe that he will ever win anything of significance. I would love for him to prove me wrong.

what you just posted is absolutely correct.

We have the facilities, fan support, history, so... we need a coach who will recruit, develop talent and coach much better. We should compete with KY and at least be 1st in the SEC every 3-4 years period. Which would put us in as a 4 seed or better every 3-4 years etal….

A LOT of people around the program have forgotten this. The amount of talent that gets plucked out of our state on a yearly basis, we could field a consistent top 25 team at the very least. I think in the end it's going to take a good recruiter that can get the in-state talent to stay.
