I would say land grant rather than 'ag school', if you think it is important to group schools that way. lol

also keep in mind SC was the original ag school in SC and would still be today if Dr. Clemson had not donated his land for a new college.

Also, many 'flagship' universites are also the land grant university in their state like UGA, Maryland, Florida and Tenn.

Not really because many of the sorts of unified universities I talked about (where the state never formed an "Ag School" and just added it to the original university) are land grant; Minnesota, Illinois, Nebraska, Wisconsin etc.
