Through 9 games, Isaiah Joe is averaging 4.2 three pointers per game on an over 49% percentage. I fully expect that percentage to drop some, but 4.2 per game puts him on pace for 130 three pointers this year just through the regular season.

Thurman's record in a season stands at 102 in 94-95 and included 37 games since we made it to the final that year.

Almost certainly. Joe is one of the better shooters to ever play the game of basketball. His sample size is large enough now to safely say he's just gonna keep on doing this all year. He isn't streaky. His average game is elite.

The OP was referring to Isiah Joe, not Joe Dumars

You mean Isaiah?

Yes, he is an elite level shooter. I would say he is in the top 1% of all shooters to ever play the game.

Put him next to #1 overall pick Daniel Gafford and we're winning it all this year.

Well they certainly have the pieces to make a run. Chaney had a great game yesterday. His stat line is outrageous. He was 5-7 from the field with 11 points, 5 rebounds (I think), 4 assists, 4 steals, 3 blocks and 0 turnovers.

Between him and Gafford in the post and a couple deadstroke shooters outside this team has the talent to compete with anyone. They'll be a pretty tough team when March rolls around.

I mean think about it, this team has lost 2 games by a combined total of 2 points. Could very easily be undefeated right now.

They actually play better defense than the teams from the past 2 years also and can rebound a bit better. I wouldn't be shocked to see this team get hot late in the year either

Isaiah Joe reminds me of Reggie Miller. Terrific shooter, but also just a terrific all around ball player. Excellent defender, high basketball IQ.

Joe is probably an even more accurate shooter than Miller was, but Miller has more of a killer instinct. More clutch. Other than the awkward shooting form of Miller, their games are very similar.

There's a few players on this team that remind me of pro ball players. Jordan Phillips is gonna end up drawing comparisons to Scotty Pippen.

This might be the greatest basketball team of all time, you guys.

You are the exact definition of a homer and I love and dislike it at the same time.

Yes, good job.

We are almost there, a few more games and we can say the best sports team of all time.

Well, I went a little over the top there as a joke, but I was serious about Joe being one of the best shooters of all time. I mean, he's hitting 50% of them. If I were his coach I would demand he shot 20 three pointers per game.
