You know, this is exactly like folks saying “I can’t wait for Saban to jump to the next open job so Bama will see what he is really all about.”
It’s perfectly fine to not like Dabo and not want him as coach, but the fact is that this is his 10th full season as a head coach and he is in the midst of his 8th consecutive season with 10 or more wins. Along the way he’s also won his conference title 6 times, been to the playoffs 4 times, and won a title with this year still pending.
Those are Saban numbers.
You might as well accept that this IS “down to Earth.”

I know what Dabo has done. He's obviously a pretty good coach. His numbers in the SEC, where you can't be a rah rah coach and have off games because you're not pumped against teams like MSU or Arkansas, would be significantly worse than they are in the ACC.
And no, he doesn't have anything close to Saban numbers. He's good, but you'll all be disappointed in what he does at Bama, if it happens.
