Sorry I have no opinion of Indiana. My biggest memory is stopping in a farm town and getting a Mexican Coke on the way back from Chicago. There is a possibility I will be in the Ft Wayne area some time next year

Yeah, there aint much outside of the few urban centers. Some don't like it but, I find it nice. And if you are from the area you can easily find things to do.
As for Fort Wayne, its a decent town. Its the highest populated place in the state outside of Indy I think, but it is not in as bad of shape as Gary.

Honestly, that was the best thing about Ft Wayne.

Lots of other really nice little towns in Indiana, though.
