Weird If I recall I've seen multiple threads by LSU posters about scenarios with the tigers reaching the CFP prior to TAMU.

how do you put a 1 loss alabama non-conference champ in over a 1 loss conference champ ohio state, even if you think alabama is better?
Go read any of 20 threads or listen to multiple analysts. It's been explained ad infinitum.

Clemson, Georgia are in. I believe ohio state is in. how do you put a 1 loss alabama non-conference champ in over a 1 loss conference champ ohio state, even if you think alabama is better?
does alabama get in over ND in that scenario? or do you think it's the ohio state that gets screwed?
What if Bama beats UGA and LSU hadn't lost to UF and ATM and OSU wins tomorrow. Who should get in with that similar scenario, 1-loss conf-champ OSU who got stomped by Purdue or LSU with a better resumé and only 1 loss to #1 Alabama?

People are setting themselves up just like last year thinking Bama won’t get in.
I'm about to the point where I hope for an 8 team playoff just so Alabama can slide into the 8th spot the first year with three losses.

Listening to all of the pundits since Tuesday, there is a consensus that the Irish are a lock.
They are.

I think if we see some great games in the conference championships this week, it could change the committee's perception a bit.
It won't

If Bama and UGA play a game like they did in 2012, how do you eliminate either one? They were clearly the best two teams in the country that week, and could be this week as well. The winner of that one had to play the Irish in the national championship game, but the national championship itself was really decided in Atlanta.
No one on those three teams is still playing. The committee won't give 2012 a moment's thought.

There’s too much politics in football. They aren’t leaving out a 1 loss Big 10 or Big 12 conference champ
PAC 12 Champ is being held out this year and have been denied 2 out 4 years
BIG 10 Champ has been held out 3 years in a row.
There’s plenty of precedent and justification when they’re not one of the 4 best teams in the country. You know...THE THING the committee is supposed to decide.

And Notre Dame is probably the worst team of the 6 teams we are all talking about.
Notre Dame barely beat Vanderbilt.
Notre Dame's best win is vs Michigan (Michigan just got completely blown out by OSU)
Look at these Outstanding Notre Dame victories
19-14 vs 7-5 Pitt
24-16 vs 4-8 Ball State
22-17 vs 6-6 Vanderbilt
24-17 vs 5-7 USC
Not a very impressive resume.
I wouldn't go that far. They're defense is good, and the Vandy and Ball State games were before they changed QBs.
Ohio State basically shite the bed against Nebraska and Maryland.
