I think a lot of people fail to realize what’s becoming more and more apparent. Fields has a ton of talent but was a work in progress when he got to Athens.

Maybe it was attitude, reading defenses, making quick decisions or just adjusting to the speed of college ball. Maybe he was used to being able to out-athlete other teams in HS. Who knows.

It’s good to read something positive about his development and if he’s truly buying in then he’ll get more shots.

We also need to remember he played a ton of baseball, and then missed out on some of the best competition he would play his senior year because he was hurt.

He’s also such a freak athletically that any time a receiver wasn’t open he could take off. Has to be a little bit more patient now, and I fully expect him to get much better at that.
