I also started this morning. The amount of attention to even the smallest details is incredible. Good story so far too

I've been wanting this game for years now lol. I have honestly forgot about it.
Just got my son a Nintendo Switch for his birthday, went to game stop & Target today, and didn't even look at PS4 games. :(

The first chapter is a little rough getting through (snow) but after that... holy crap this game is awesome.

My wife is getting me the new Black Ops 4 for Christmas I think, may have to check out the new Red Dead too.

I got black ops 4 when it came out, and was debating trading it in for Red Dead soonish, but I heard there are alot of boring parts. Like a lot of forced walking and talking, and forced riding on horses slowly, and unnecessary things like that. Making the game too slow. Anyone have that as an issue? I loved the first one but if the story of this is 65 hours, and like 15 of it is walking and talking, idk about all that.

There have definitely been some slow (borderline boring) parts but I appreciate the building of the story.
Also, the rest of the game more than makes up for the slow parts.

Alright thats around what Ive been hearing. I like story building but if it gets out of control it can get real boring.
Also how important are things like eating, sleeping, dressing for weather, bathing, cutting your hair, supplying camp etc. to the actual story. Like is any of that required or help you out during gameplay? That could get old quick.
Either way I think im gonna get it. Gonna have to finish agame or two first to make room for it. I heard its an absolutely massive file.

I don't think any of that stuff really matters for the story itself. I'd say supplying and improving the camp is the only thing that is overly necessary and the rest helps keep stuff like stamina other stats up

Did you ever play the first one? It was the same with all the riding around and slow cut scenes. I enjoy it though, the story is more thab interesting enough to keep your attention through that stuff

No I didn't and I have no idea why I didn't. I am enjoying RDR2 enough that I may pick up the first one and play it when I'm done

It’s fantastic. I went ahead and bought it because I don’t recall GTA dropping for Black Friday/Cyber Monday like NBA/FIFA and others. It will be a few years before it drops
