Have you been to one?
What year was your first to attend?
What year was the favorite game that you attended?
yes, 1969 was my first
My favorite was probably 1984, UF 27-0 breaking a 6 game UG streak.
I also went to both games played on campus in 94,95 and enjoyed both beat downs as well as the 2008 time out game. Good times!!!

I apologize but I'm breaking the rule, figured the thread could use good input on both sides.

Yes, this weekend will be my 18th in a row. Started going as a 15 year old and going strong to present day.

As a youngster I went down to Jax with the family several times in the early 90s but couldn't go in the game so watched in the hotel. First game in attendance was 2001.

Sadly I was too young to go during that time period and I hate that I haven't/likely won't ever get to go to a game in gainesville. I've often considered trying to make it down for a game when we have a crap opponent just to knock it off the list but can't ever force myself to do it.
I think MOST of us from both sides can agree there's just somethign special about this weekend. It irritates me hearing folks (mostly uga fans of course) that think we need to move to home and home or, even worse...rotate jax/atlanta. That's a loser mentality and people only think that because they have to drive a little farther or because our team has been losing more often than not lately. There is nothing like this game anywhere in america, the RRS doesn't come close. Just every single thing surrounding the week, the weekend, the game, the setting, the history...all of it bundled together. Nothing like it.

Yes, around 10 or so.
First, 1980.
I’ll say the 84 game. Crazy happy.
I dated a girl who’s sister went to UG. We stayed one weekend and saw a game. Don’t remember who tho. I liked stadium and history surrounding the hedges and whatnot.

Been to 4.
1999 was my first.
Went to 99, 02, 05, and 09.
Favorite was 02.
Some memories.
99- it started off as a nice day then got chilly and rained out of nowhere, was a fun game.
02- other than the 97 FSU game, this was the first game in my life that I remember UF as a true underdog and coming out with the win. Thought we didn’t have a chance that night. We must of thrown 40 bubble screens that game and Georgia never adjusted to stop it. Came out thinking this Zook Guy ain’t that bad, little did I know....
05- got drunk as hell at this one. Only thing I remember was staring at those godawful orange gauntlet sleeve uniforms and that we won.
09- got hammered at this one but not as bad as 05. I remember Georgia wearing black helmets, maybe I am imagining that but I think some grambling jokes were made. Cool to see Tebow break Herschel’s rushing TD record against Georgia.
Hooked up with the hottest chick I ever seen in my life that night. Didn’t know they grew em like that in Yulee.

Sadly you were not imagining it, it was dreadful. In the '97/98 outback bowl against wisconsin we wore black pants/white tops/red helmets and those things looked SHARP. But the black pants/black helmet just looked awful. I think we wanted to recapture some magic of the black uniforms but since we were the away team I guess we just wore black everywhere else but the tops, and geez it looked terrible.
UF was elite in 09 and we were mediocre so we had basically no shot anyway, but when we ran out of the tunnel in those uniforms I remember just sitting down shaking my head and just knowing we had already lost.

Many.
2001
2008
Least favorite 2012. That loss hurt more than any other for me vs Georgia. So brutal. I still believe we were the better team. So many turnovers, most really bad boneheaded ones. Cost us a national title.

Yes
2001, played against UGA rugby on Friday night then tailgated all day and partied all night, I still can not explain how I got back Gainesville on Sunday morning to wake up in my dorm room.
2008 was awesome for the revenge factor, 2009 for Tebow breaking Hershall's record

It really is.

rotate jax/atlanta
Dumbest idea ever, rather do home and home then rotate neutral sites.

Agreed

think we need to move to home and home
I've kicked this idea around before. Once every decade right in the middle of the decade, we should have a home and home. Florida gets the home game in even number years when we get UT and FSU on the road and Georgia has UT and GT at home and vice versa Georgia gets the odd number years at home when they have UT and GT on the road and we have UT and FSU at home. Do it right smack in the middle of the decade. You could keep the tradition of Jax and still get a taste of going to each others venue. If they reform the game in anyway, that's the way I would like to see it done.
Example
2019 - Jacksonville
2020 - Jacksonville
2021 - Jacksonville
2022 - Jacksonville
2023 - Jacksonville
2024 - Gainesville
2025 - Athens
2026 - Jacksonville
2027 - Jacksonville
2028 - Jacksonville
2029 - Jacksonville
2030 - Jacksonville
2031 - Jacksonville
2032 - Jacksonville
2033 - Jacksonville
2034 - Gainesville
2035 - Athens
2036 - Jacksonville
2037 - Jacksonville
2038 - Jacksonville
2039 - Jacksonville
2040 - Jacksonville
Just look at that. That's a shitload of Cocktail party with just a little bit of home and home to spice things up a bit. It would give every new generation of fans a chance to experience the other teams stadium and campus. WG I would like for you to post that on the Georgia board and see what they think about it. I mean it sort of accidentally happened in the 90s and everyone that I talked to that experienced it, thought it was a cool break. The people I've talked to that didn't experience it, regret it.
One other thing. Both teams wore there home jerseys back in 2014 I believe. Those colors looked awesome clashing against each other. Home and home jerseys should be mandatory. Don't know why we ever stopped doing that.

Such a frustrating game. Fumbled on the first drive and Georgia gets an easy touchdown. Alright no big deal shite happens. Next drive ,we get it to the 35 and go for it on 4th and a long 1. We get stuffed. Alright once again, no big deal. I like being aggressive but damn we had Caleb Sturgis and I am an advocate of always take the easy points in the first 3 quarters of a game. Should of been 7-3. Then after a series of turnovers and punts by both teams, we get a drive that ends with a field goal, should of been 7-6 at that point. Then we intercept Murray at the 11 and should of pounded the rock in for a td but we settle for another fg. Should of been 13-7 but at the minimum 9-7. Then right before the damned half Driskel throws a dumbfounding pick in the endzone. Could of been 20-7 at the minimum 16-7 with a fg.
Everyone always talks about Jordan Reed fumbling the ball going into the endzone but we fricked ourselves out of winning that game in the first half.
Aaron Murrays worst game in his UG career and we blew it.

Went in ‘96 and ‘98. Gators won both.
My biggest memory was the coed I drove with from Gainesville. That girl had the smallest bladder! We had to pull over every 20 minutes for a bathroom break!
I’d love to go back if I had the time.

I've been to... Five, I think? Not sure, I'm from Jacksonville and went to some as a small kid.
First one I went to that I remember was 2007 but I don't think that was my first one. That one wasn't fun

I went to the 1963 game when Hall did an onside kick that fooled gawja and we won I think 21-14 or 28-21.
In 1964 UGA kicker Bobby Etter picked up an errant snap for a FG and ran it in...first game for Spurrier in the series and we lost 14-10.
1976 was one of the worse (other than 1968), we had a powerful wishbone team with lots of track speed but average defense....we jumped out to a 27-13 halftime lead and I was in heaven....until UGA came out and put 28 unanswered on us. I thought we were going to finally win the SEC.
