Would you say LSU is a read option offense with Joe Burrow because he runs a true read play with a serious keep option 3 times a game?

What is a “read option offense?” The read option is one aspect of modern offenses, just like RPOs. I certainly don’t deny that LSU runs the read option.

Um, the Auburn offense of 2010 and 2013 that forced teams to account for the QB run on every mesh play? The one you said we now are?

Lots of teams implement the read option into their playbook, but only a few use it as a staple. Gus' original Auburn offenses had it as the staple play of their entire scheme. Read option inside power play.

Which, I argued then and now, was the definition of power football. Which is why I always rejected the notion that Gus' offense was finesse and gimmicky.
