Bama has 16 NCs

And out of those 16, how many are legitimate? And not just because bobs backyard BBQ quarterly named you national champions?

Using Bamas "claim" to national championships, Auburn could easily claim 83,93,and 04 as well as 1913.

But Auburn doesn't do that. They claim championships from legitimate titles. The National Champions Foundation recognized Auburn as one of its 1993 national champions you better bet your bottom dollar that would be in Bamas books. The NY Times named Auburn its 1983 national champions. Again, you can bet your life that's one that Bama would add to its so called national championships.

As to the OP:

I don't know man. Such is the life of an Auburn fan. Going back to Dye, the only Auburn coach to ever win 10 games in consecutive seasons, if bowl games counted or they played as many games as they do now, Dye would of had multiple back to back 10 win seasons. Tubs almost got there. He had multiple 10 win seasons followed by 9 wins. Tubs had an enate ability to lose games he had no business losing. Chizik... Well... Chizik really screwed himself and auburn by taking a team recruited for the spread since 08 and tried to force them into a pro style offense. Had he hired a spread OC when Malzahn left, he would of most likely joined Dye on that list. And Malzahn... Well... Gus is going to #ButGus. That's his forte. He is just in over his head. I mean when my 9 year old daughter who doesn't give two shits about football can tell what play is coming before we snap the ball, DCs being paid millions of dollars absolutely can see it.

Maybe after we cut tabs with this high-school offensive guru (LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL) then just maybe we can have someone who can join Dye on that list. Gus sure as hell won't ever do it if he couldn't do it with this team. I mean the OL is hot garbage, but that's no excuse.

No you couldn't. With the embarrassing exception of 1941, Alabama only claims AP and Coaches Poll Titles once those polls were established.

No, if we counted titles like that we'd add 1966 and a host of others and have the 22 or whatever it is the "NCAA" officially recognizes.

- Alabama has more AP titles than anyone
- Alabama has more Coaches titles than anyone
- Alabama has more BCS titles than anyone
- Alabama has more Playoff titles than anyone

Pick whatever counting method you want.
