With Williams, Buggs, and Davis in the middle, what's up with the rush defense?

I bring this up because on paper, that is an INCREDIBLE 3 headed monster on the DL.
Opponents rushing yards per game - 32nd in the country at 126 ypg
Opponents rushing yards per attempt - 52nd in the country at 3.9 ypc
Now, I have no clue how these crazy blowouts are affecting these numbers, but there is definitely room for opponents to run.
Part of what has made Alabama so successful(most importantly in big road games like LSU) is they enter the game knowing damn well the opponent literally won't be able to move the ball on the ground.
That not only dictates what Alabama can do on defense, but it also gives them way more options on offense.
Anyways, what gives?

I think it's the LB's not filling the holes correctly.

we don't set the edge like we did in the past.
our LB's don't tackle as well either

1. Linebackers not fitting the runs right
2. Inexperienced DBs not doing their part quite as good as past DBs who had a lot more experience coming up against the run or cutting off the edge.
3. Our three starters on the DL are good pass rushers and can disrupt in the run game, but they’re not as strong as past guys at holding the line and giving the back absolutely nowhere to go. This goes hand in hand with the LBs fitting the gaps too.

Saban says everyday you change, you're either getting better or you're getting worse. I think the defense is trending up.

Most of you who are smarter than me, might know this answer. Has Coach Koop changed any of our techniques?
