I would be neutral. If this or a similar situation happens, I would only be content if the person who approaved the Gus contract is fired. The next contract needs to be incentive heavy. I am fine with over paying for success.

I don't know why people would be against someone like Bill Clark. Was Saban a household name when LSU hired him? Has been coaches like Stoops are a joke. Reminds me of USCe hiring Holtz, then Spurrier. Did either one of these "established" coaches win anything there?
You can get Bill Clark fairly inexpensive. He's a proven winner everywhere he's been. I don't know of a more impressive job that what he's done at UAB, who was essentially given the death penalty a couple of years ago.
