Does Joe know about the slant route?

I haven't seen us run this since Dak's senior year. Think it would be a good way to loosen up the box. He wants to have the big play when 4 yards moves the sticks.
I watched some of the OM/ULM game waiting for ours to come on. ULM threw this to good advantage. Granted, the reb defense is horrendous and game was out of reach. Last night watched some of TT/TCU and Tech lined up 4 wide with brand new QB. In short yard situations they threw this for 1st down several times and went down field for points. TCU has good defense, everybody knew what play was coming and still could not stop it. Not sure why we don't use this - its very effective. And you can line QB in shotgun or under center and it still works. Receiver catches at 3 - 5 yards and ends up getting 6 to move the chains.
If Joe wants the big play, a combo of the short pass mixed with hard run will open this up if Fitz gets the chance. Forcing the D up to stop may result in the 1 on 1 matchups we're looking for downfield.
I may be wrong (a daily occurrence) but does anyone else think this???

The better question... WHY is he not using the TEs. MS ST has great TEs and he's not putting them in position to take advantage.
