Literally that’s mostly what marshal did but he ran a 4.3 to 4.4 forty so when he broke he was gone. Plus they had a good line that season. Any passing he did was much easier due to the success of the running game. Trust me, he didn’t have Marshal in the pocket making check downs and audibles at the line. Auburn’s success has come from the most simple concept, hurry up no huddle option read with passes mixed in to confuse the defense. It only works with a fast QB and a good line. Something which Gus has neither of this season.

So is that something that Malzahn figured out or is it still all about Marshall?

He was only like a 4.5 guy, but he was dynamic and incredibly strong

Elite playmaker with the ball, but it wasn't elite speed but a combo of traits
